Please read ALL the instructions on this page.
IMPORTANT: Please only attend an Open House application session if you are also available to attend the matching Interview and Orientation sessions. The Orientation session is mandatory. You will not be eligible for shifts unless you have attended Orientation.We hold Open House application sessions regularly. If you are not able to attend this session please check back here in a week or two for the next session dates.
We have a two part hiring process for PSWs.
1) The PSW Open House.
2) Orientation session.

9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
No appointment required. New applicants only
The matching ORIENTATION SESSION for successful Open House applicants only is on:
Friday February 10, 2012
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Remember, please only attend an Open House application session if you are also available to attend the matching Interview and Orientation sessions.
If you are able to work weekends, please make sure to mention it at the Open House.
See below for documentation you'll need to bring, map etc.
Please bring the following documentation for your interview (please note that you will be turned away - refused an interview - if you do not have all your documentation in order):
All documents must be originals.You will also need to bring a photocopy of each document for our records - please come prepared we will not photocopy your documents for you.
Resume
PSW certificate - original.
CPR - original.
SIN (Social Insurance) card - original card must be presented, photocopies will not be accepted. If card starts with a number 9 you must also bring an original valid work permit.
2 pieces of ID. Photo ID (Government issued, Passport or Drivers license. TTC card is NOT acceptable), 2nd piece of ID can be credit card, or birth certificate. All ID must be original. Photocopies are NOT acceptable.
Vulnerable Sector Police clearance (if you have one) - original.
WHMIS certificate (if you have one) - original.
First aid/CPR (optional)
3 work references
Note: all shifts at Eldercare Home Health are "awake" shifts. Under no circumstances are you permitted to be sleeping while at work with Eldercare Home Health.
For both your and our Clients' safety you are not permitted to accept shifts with Eldercare Home Health which would result in you working back to back day/night or night/day shifts in combination with other work offered though another employer (or any other arrangement). You must be well rested when working shifts through Eldercare Home Health.
Availability.
You must have a minimum of 3 weekdays or 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day available, to work with Eldercare Home Health. Please do not apply until you are able to meet this minimum availability requirement.
